Cool! "Kari Kraus evolved what takes reproductions of future." Now I just need to find a site that archives various recordings of Alvin Lucier's "I am sitting in a room" and I'll have a read letter day for teaching resources.

Very cool indeed. This IS quite the resource. I'm not teaching a digital class for at least another 9 months, but this goes on my resource list. It's just the kind of bit that belongs at the end of a sentence that begins "Oh, actually, for example, class, you can do something like . . . this!" And, then they think you know everything. (sigh)

Doh! Red letter day red letter day. I'm always reading letters; but the Burroughs cut up day is a special day. Alas no online Lucier I know of. I could just record it myself during my radio time I guess.

Just for the record, I've written another cut up engine - the text mixing desk - except that as well as doing Burroughs style cut-ups, you can also pick and mix a few other text manipulation effects.
